The pink rose is the Cabbage Rose R.centifolia and is accompanied by a magenta-purple Double Crown Anemone, A. coronaria; native to the Mediterraneon region and a white Double Clematis, C. florida ‘Plena’; native to China.
Like the rose these two flowering plants were very popular in 17th gardens in Holland and England and by the 18th and 19th century, also popular in France.
